My earliest blooming clematis, not a big showy hybrid, but a dainty little blue thing with nodding flowerheads. Not quite open yet but will be soon. It winds its way around the branches of a nearby tree peony. The clematis flowers first with the purple pink peonies opening, usually, as the clematis just finishes off.
