The Long Path Home

It feels even longer when you can hear thunder rolling in the distance and you haven't brought your waterproof camera bag. :o

The original of this was a vertical shot ,with an even longer bit of path showing, but somehow I find vertical shots never work very well when jammed into the horizontal shape of a computer screen so I've cropped this.

yeah doesn't rain approaching affect the mathematics of distance strangely? I'd be interested to see the original too just for comparison

@365projectorgheatherb Well, yes and no. Full disclosure, that path didn't actually lead to my home, it lead to where I had parked my car so, I did make it back to the safety of the car before the rain, but the rain started before I actually made it home.
