As I was part way down this hill, I passed this girl who was on her way up. Although you see part of the hill here, the steeper part was behind me and still ahead of her. All of which suddenly made me realize that I was going to have to come back too, and to hope my knees were up to the job. (Obviously I did make it back and I'm ready to head out again when time and weather permits.) Somehow I liked it better in B&W as the colour version seemed too busy and the girl got lost in everything else going on.
I love it in b/w too ! I can imagine the steepness of the hill -and I was going to say that you had chosen the easier way ,not realising you had to go up-hill again! Love the vertical slim trees and the diagonal shadows making for a lovely pattern! A lovely shot! fav
