I think he could see me in the kitchen doorway and wasn't at all sure I could be trusted.
Although they have been around occasionally during the winter, we are seeing a lot more of the cardinals, the last few days. I hope they are building a nest some where nearby.
Nice shot of this guy and nice processing as well. We used to have Hews Bushes growing in our front yard. The cardinals would often nest in one of them. They seem to like the thick evergreens.

The ones that come to the feeder by my kitchen window vary- some don't care if they see me, and others bolt the moment they suspect movement inside. Good catch!
