‘Manifest’

This is Sean. He’s a hard nose, no-nonsense, early starting Tramper.
Just before he embarks on a 15 hour working day on the Highways of the UK, he spends a moment to peruse his Manifest of the day.

A question from the uninformed from Downunder: what is the job of 'a Tramper'?

A ‘Tramper’ is a HGV driver who nights out all week in his truck. He will drive from job to job, then sleep in the cab, either in the Motorway Services or in a Lay-by.
They are collectively known as Trampers in the industry, because, usually by the end of the week, they usually smell quite bad, like a Tramp 🤣🤣🙏

Here long distance truck drivers are called, much less imaginatively, 'truckies' and live similarly and some, I imagine, might be equally odoriferous.
