‘Fit@50’

After a 12 hour night shift has finished in the Traffic office, I hit the gym before bed.
As the title states, At 51, I’m getting myself back to the level of fitness I had in my Army days when I was 21.
20 mins of intense skipping to warm up, then another 45mins on the bars and plates, followed by 15 mins on the rowing machine to polish off any remaining calories🤣
I will post other photos of the routine, as it proves quite a challenge to compose on your own. You’ll also see my new piece of kit, my ‘Battle Rope’, oh boy that thing is torture🤣
📷Camera set on a low mounted tripod for POV, then trial and error (Alot of trial and error, I can tell ya) to nail the focus. I needed a fast shutter speed to freeze the action (I skip fast) this caused issues with noise, as the this part of the gym has awful lighting, and it required quite a boost of the old ISO, considering f/4 was my fastest aperture, and a metered 500th/sec to freeze the action. But I just about nailed it,This is the best example out of the crop I cultivated this morning, where there was a balance of frozen action/noise and depth of field, and not forgetting, I always attempt to get that cinematic look📷
you did well in the difficult conditions Gavin.
Enjoy your gym work !

Well done. And I love the b&w low key here. And that you are faster than your own reflection. ;-)
