Does It Look Safe to You?

This is the thought that went thru my head as i was walking, by myself, hopefully back to my car at the parking lot early one morning last week. I was tired, my left foot has a bit of neuropathy, so does not work like it should, and I sorely wanted to find a short cut....but I could not for certain say that it looked safe to me .... stable for me to walk without maybe slipping in the wet and possibly muddy sod. Are there any animals out there? Who knows? I kept walking on the path, so call me a wimp, but a now, safe wimp!

I like the leading line to the end of the trail. I've fav'ed it because I really like the tones and subtle lighting. A comment that is offered in a constructive manner is that I do wonder the photo has been edited resulting in the light at he end of the path appearing a little un-natural. Forgive me if I am wrong and the lighting is completely natural or the effect is intended

@suez1e Looks like you are asking a question, glad you are. Yes, the photo HAS been edited, all of my photos are edited, as I shoot exclusively in RAW. I went back to the image in Lightroom and found that the light at the end of the trail has been increased by 0.17. There was also some slight increase in the saturation of the green in the grass, the color of the leaves in the left side of the pic, and I also used a radial gradient to darken the image a bit from the outside in, to enhance the length of the path and the light at the end of the path. So there you have it! My expression of a winter morning in nature.

@ggshearron I appreciate your detailed response. I also only shoot in RAW. Well done on your editing techniques
