On Sunday my daughter, Natalie (not the birthday girl) was invited to play in a local charity game of Aussie Rules Football with local legends of the game. It was an honour for her and she was the only girl to play! Then to top it off, she was named best player for the day :)
For Aussie 365ers, Mick Malthouse was her coach, and Jordan Lewis of Hawthorn was the other coach. BIG NAMES! The charity is The Leila Rose Foundation which raises money for rare childhood cancers research, and also helps families struggling to deal this this ordeal. The leader of the charity, a local doctor and past footballer, lost their 20 month old daughter to a rare cancer. Over $80,000 was raised on Sunday. Great effort :)
Well done Natalie, good on her, the blokes look pretty in pink as well and all for a wonderful charity. I was worried about you for a couple of days and glad you're back. Did my blog give you a smile for the day, I'm sure my pic will today.
