Looks as though you are preparing to have fun! The Birdsville was on our original itinerary but unfortunately has had to be cut. I shall enjoy it vicariously through your photos!
When we visited Oz we hired 4wd and drove the Mereenie Loop from Alice springs. Couldn't believe we never saw another car, only abandoned washing machines on the side of the road, or dirt track!! Good fun though
@gilbertwood we how to head off at the end of September, across the Nullabor, Port August, Broken Hill, Bourke through Qld to Karumba and Port Douglas then onwards down the coast...! Watch this space.
