This is an amazing place in the West MacDonnell ranges 50 kms from Alice Springs. It was formed millions of years ago when a river gouged through the red sand stone rocks creating this deep red cleft. It rises 80 metres (262 ft) above the ground :)
After just returning from a Europe trip, I now really appreciate our very unique outback area. We really do live in a very special part of the world. Whilst the majority of Europe has some spectacular man made monuments that can date back many 100's of years, we have this spectacular natural landscape that is timeless. Feeling very blessed.
