You know how they say photographers should never work with children or animals - well I'm adding family to that!! They much preferred funny photos to a sensible one :)
I know just what you mean about family shots, both in getting them to pose and the informal quick grab shots seems much better, I think you cracked it with both these images Denise
Great captures. Guess that's why I hear all of the photographers where I go, making all of the noise, trying to get everyone to look at them. Think they have a lot of candid shots mixed in, like yours.
How cute! Whenever I'm asked to take a group shot I always reward the participants with a "goofy" shot- sometimes they're the better shot as they really show off the character of the people. Your family looks like a lot of fun!
