Feeling past my use by date. The desire to inflict harm upon others is growing by the minute. Then again, I might just write a strongly worded letter.
Best against the black, as usual.
Jeepers, I'm callin the cops! Great focus on the knife.
July 30th, 2014
You're absolutely right. Against the black really makes this image pop. Fantastic composition.
July 30th, 2014
So deliciously dark! Fav
July 30th, 2014
@darylo Thanks...do you think they'll get here before I do anything silly?
@blueberry1222 Thank you very much, greatly appreciated
@mzzhope Thanks very much indeed, as always!
July 30th, 2014
Great against the black....how about a strongly worded letter...????
July 30th, 2014
the pen is mightier than the sword
July 30th, 2014
Super dramatic! Love the lighting.
July 30th, 2014
Very dramatic and fab lighting, go for the writing!
July 30th, 2014
Fav, such darkness, such mood. Now take the pen and write.
July 30th, 2014
Fantastic lighting.
July 30th, 2014
I have found a strongly worded letter not nearly satisfying enough - just make sure you are up on your forensics and you should be fine - I can give you the name of some useful reading material to help you escape capture hahahahahahahahahahahaha
July 30th, 2014
oh dear - I am only one not an advocate for the pen
July 30th, 2014
I love the focus on the knife, brilliant. Kali's quote is true, but would it be as satisfying? You know what you want to do so .....
July 30th, 2014
Wow, just wow.....wish everything looked that good past the expiration date!
Definitely write a nasty letter.....sign it in blood! Nail it to their doorpost with the knife!! That should get the message across...
July 30th, 2014
I suggest for therapy a look at @gigiflower page. It will be full of colour and vitality.
July 30th, 2014
@annied it would be mighty dull round here if mr s got locked up.....
July 30th, 2014
@harbie Thanks very much...I'd rather use a Molotov cocktail some days.
@kali66 Yes it is, but I find that with a pen you have to get so much closer before you can stab them!
@jess1204 Thanks very much, always appreciated :)
@dibzgreasley Thanks very much...I may need crayons...
@susale Thank you very much :)
@chippy1402 Thanks, appreciated
@annied Hang on...you're not the only one. I haven't actually advocated the pen for peaceful purposes. I need one of those James Bond pens that blows things up or has a built is laser.
@ceilidh Thanks very much - and nowhere near as satisfying. As I said to Kali, I find with a pen you have to get so much closer before you can stab the feckers with it!
@panthora That should work in terms of getting a point across, I like your style! And thanks very much :)
July 30th, 2014
@newbank Couloir and frivolity? Shudder. Are you quite mad?
July 30th, 2014
@newbank Couloir? Look at me being all foreign and urbane. Twat.
July 30th, 2014
@graemestevens see there is something worse out there. Concentrate on that.
July 30th, 2014
@newbank The fact that it was autocorrected to Couloir piqued my interest, so I googled it. It's a French word that would mean @gigiflower would have photos of passageway, chasms and scars. I'm going to go and have a look, just in case I've missed something.
July 30th, 2014
@graemestevens ooohhhh... They sound more up your street.... Perhaps they are those weird images where if you stare at them for long enough you see past them to the picture behind?
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower.... Shhh...don't let mr s hear.....I'm not really being rude about your project.....just trying to help out mr s....wakey wakey.... I need you to come help me...
July 30th, 2014
@graemestevens Crayons are good, better even! That would make a great shot?!
July 30th, 2014
@newbank @graemestevens oh I do not want Mr S getting locked up it - would be way to mundane - hence the loan of the reading material - and really Graeme the pen can be mightier - you stab and run and no-one knows it was you hahahahahahahaha - and let me know if you missed something in the Couloir department - but then the OCD googler I am I will probably head there myself
July 30th, 2014
@graemestevens @newbank btw I really love the word twat! just saying
July 30th, 2014
July 30th, 2014
Oooooooh....ahhhhh!!! Another fav! (Shocker!)
July 30th, 2014
A strong emotion filled imaged. Fav.
July 30th, 2014
Definitely time for a letter to the newspaper.
July 30th, 2014
@cindyloo Thanks very much, always appreciated :)
@sewsharyn Thanks you very much :)
@golftragic Would it surprise you to know that I've been published in our local news paper 5 times this year? They don't seem to understand that I'm taking the p*ss...
@annied Twat is a favourite word for me as well, but I also like to call people a "f##kin' lamp"...help yourself to google, I'm done with it for the night :)
@dibzgreasley Only if I can set them on fire!
@newbank @gigiflower has gone suspiciously quiet again...I always worry when that happens.
July 30th, 2014
Love this Graeme this image has a lot of emotion well done FAV!!!!
July 30th, 2014
Bloody marvellous.
July 30th, 2014
Sam
@newbank @graemestevens I always leave the best to last.......I need to get my creative juices flowing - which of course I did once I read the word "Couloir". I also googled it and realised that it doesn't suit me at all given its reference to skiing and mountaineering. I do like the words "fissure" and "piste" though and I will leave it to your imagination to wonder why.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Couloir
July 30th, 2014
Sam
Oh and Mr Stevens - I forgot to ask............will you get fat now that you have given up the fags?
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower how are the two related? Is he going to eat more? Must go google....
July 30th, 2014
@newbank No, food tastes better I used to be a size 10 and then I stopped!!!!!!!
July 30th, 2014
Sam
@newbank @ceilidh I've never been a smoker however I have heard/read that when you give up smoking, people eat more!! Instead of a ciggie in their mouth, they put more food in there! And I can't see Mr Stevens eating copious amounts of carrot and celery to stay skinny and not have a ciggie!
July 30th, 2014
Hope that is not the good bread knife, another dark and quirky image :-)
July 30th, 2014
Hmmm......he might surprise us. I think as well as a soft soppy centre there is also a will of iron for him to draw strength on....@graemestevens?
July 30th, 2014
Absolutely fantastic. Love the posing, dof and the b&w! Fav!!!!!
July 30th, 2014
Great artistry.
July 30th, 2014
Good grief! Are you off your angry chair or just slumped over it. What's with the knife? Is it to protect you against the nightmares? haha. Love this shot but hope you're not feeling that bad.
July 30th, 2014
Very emotive capture indeed......!
July 30th, 2014
congratulations...not a pretty picture....
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower @newbank I didn't eat more I drank more - alcohol has more calories than food hahahahaha
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower @annied I think we just need to wait now and see what the morning brings..... No idea what it will be......
July 30th, 2014
There is life after smoking... but it took me a while to find it - Kim had best keep that knife out of reach.
July 30th, 2014
Oh, my - is that a knife?? I'm glad I don't see any blood - stick with the pen and paper! Great shot, love the caption....I have felt like that before!
The picture and the words together certainly evoke emotion, way to go!
July 30th, 2014
Let's hope you haven't inflicted too much harm it would be sad to loose you
July 30th, 2014
What a way to go. Maybe write the letter instead and eat some carrots. They are good for the eyes you know:). Great dark scene and set up. Glad you commented on mine today or I would worry.
July 30th, 2014
@tracelee Thank you very much, appreciated
@spanner Bloody thanks! :)
@gigiflower @newbankYes, I shall be the size of Texas and you will know when I'm on the move from the sound of my thighs rubbing together, sales of chaffing powder will skyrocket and the international community will realise that the most pressing global issue is the imminent chocolate shortage. I'll be so rotund that people will try to drill holes in my forehead so that they can use me as an incense holder, the shadow cast by my immense girth will cause forest to die from light starvation and I will attract small orbiting bodies.
@hermann Thanks very much :)
@achoris Thank you very much!
@sidecar thanks, much appreciated
@shepherdmanswife Thanks very much, not too bad, just a bit twitchy but I'm sure I'll live. Others may not.
@lynnilou Thanks very much, appreciated
@tellefella Thanks very much :)
@annied @newbank I'm in a state of near permanent intoxication anyway...
July 30th, 2014
@vignouse Thanks - Kim stopped about 10 years ago, and after several failed attempts on my part I've had enough.
@tabarlett Thanks very much - definitely a knife!
@denisefuller Thanks very much - no lunatics were harmed in the making of this shot
@amandal Thanks very much...still here :)
July 30th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens Sounds delightful!
July 30th, 2014
Yup, up large this is popping. Excellent presentation.
Typically morbid you… ;->
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower You're sounding very positive.
July 30th, 2014
Sam
@newbank I'm jetlagged - it's 5am...........I think I'm delirious!
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower I don't think I meant you. I meant Mr S....5am....I've seen too many of them recently...yukky yuk...
July 30th, 2014
Mr S. I want to clarify that I meant you are sounding very positive not Sam. I can promise I wont be one of the those drilling cant stand incense....smelly silly stuff that gives me headaches....
July 30th, 2014
Sam
@newbank Ohhhhh another thing we have in common - I HATE incense! It STINKS!
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower were we separated at birth? Apart from the whole chocolate thing...
July 30th, 2014
Oh dear things are bad!
July 30th, 2014
@happypat or I could just be playing Silly Buggers...you'll never know until they start digging in my garden and finding untoward things...
@bankmann Thanks very much - just can't help myself...
@gigiflower @newbank Well yes, that's because I am delightful - a regular barrel of fun, sunshine, rainbows and fluffy bunnies. 5am is not my favourite time of day but one must walk ones dogs twice a day, so I spend some time silently stalking the neighbourhood in the dark, collecting poo in plastic bags and thinking thoughts of warm beds and sleep ins. I hate incense as well - it always makes me gag, but chocolate is a must have for any modern home I think.
July 30th, 2014
"a strongly worded letter" does that mean it will be capitalized? T

cool shot!
July 30th, 2014
Chocolate is as essential as fresh air. Especially at 5 am. I still collect poo too and put in bags....be glad when after 6 years that stage ends....
July 30th, 2014
@livvy Yes, you're on to it there, the sort of letter that makes them think I do nothing nothing but YELL AT EVERYONE! And thanks very much.
@newbank I did try the dogs in nappies...not a good look...
July 30th, 2014
My last look for tonight and it gave me a giggle....
July 30th, 2014
Frighteningly dark and sombre...as one would expect from you, but also bloody brilliant and hilarious...again, as one would expect. If the desire to inflict harm upon others is stronger than the desire to smoke, then that is GOOD...keep it up mate!!
July 30th, 2014
@gigiflower @newbank @graemestevens hahahaha it refreshes me to read all of the ramblings - I don't like incense either - how can anyone? Love chocolate ---- and coffee for that matter ----combine them and I am in heaven --------hope you all have a wonderful day filled with whatever takes your fancy :)
July 31st, 2014
Sam
@annied I'm currently sitting on a conference call at work. I'm dying every minute. It's 3 hours long and we are currently 41 minutes into it. Please kill me RIGHT NOW
July 31st, 2014
Too cool
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower oh yuk! a better plan than death though is the fake "it's an emergency" phone call - you just have to leave :)
July 31st, 2014
Sam
@annied Good plan, but you think I could have an emergency call for another 2 hours???
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower yeh - you get someone to call you - answer - "oh no!" and then rush out - hahahahaha
July 31st, 2014
Sam
@annied And never come back..........!
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower exactly hehehehe
July 31st, 2014
Love the narrative.
July 31st, 2014
fav! striking and disturbing... "strongly worded letter" indeed!
July 31st, 2014
@northy Thank you very much :)
@bill_fe Thanks very much, and for the follow ;)
@pittcj17 Thanks very much
@davie Oh it's stronger all right. I may have to hurt myself.
@newbank Pleased to be of assistance :)
@gigiflower @annied You two are insane. I love it. As you were.
July 31st, 2014
eerie. Nice dramatic shot, for a change. ;-)
July 31st, 2014
@eyeamlisa Thanks - I thought it would make a change from all those flowers and trees I keep shooting ;)
July 31st, 2014
@graemestevens what a lovely compliment - thank you - and I believe I will throw it back at ya with "it takes one to know one" ;-)
July 31st, 2014
it's probably my liberal arts background - but I have found I can cause more damage with a pen (or with speech) than I can with physical violence - but with training I might be able to change that :) - love the feeling and the composition here - makes me less concerned to see you shooting in the same vein you usually do - now, if you suddenly had fluffy kittens (unharmed) or cute stuffed animals (Teddy before he had his issues) that would cause worry.... ;)
July 31st, 2014
Move away from the knife!!! Great shot!
July 31st, 2014
@annied Well in that case, it takes one to notice! :p
@deak68 I do like a well written and acerbic letter...it's almost like an aphrodisiac for me. As for fluffy bunnies and kittens, not on my watch! And thank you very much :)
@cailts No, and thank you very much :)
July 31st, 2014
Highly emotive shot, Graeme, really well executed. Hopefully it's not really that bad!
July 31st, 2014
@tomtom Thanks and not at all, quite a good day actually
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower @annied you two have missed the obvious answer here. Sam wants to.be killed and Mr s has a knife........ Just saying that's all.
July 31st, 2014
Sam
@newbank HAHAHAHA I have survived the morning conference call, however am back on another call that doesn't end until 5pm. I will definitely not survive this.......!
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower l'll send Mr s over pronto....
July 31st, 2014
July 31st, 2014
Mr s to the rescue!!! What a gentlemen
July 31st, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower @newbank a true gentleman indeed hehehe
July 31st, 2014
Sam
@annied I'm eagerly awaiting his arrival ;)
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower @annied he has just informed me he is well mannered too..... Wonders never cease....
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower I am eagerly awaiting the outcome! hahahaha
July 31st, 2014
@newbank @gigiflower well mannered hey? hmmmm - so does that mean he will ask "where would you like to be stabbed?" hahahahaha
July 31st, 2014
Sam
@annied @newbank As long as he doesn't pretend to be a doctor and ask me to remove my clothes and bend over. I can't cope with that. However I can cope with the stabbing!
July 31st, 2014
@gigiflower Now there's a truly horrific thought
July 31st, 2014
You've got nice shoulders.
July 31st, 2014
Just the sort of dark, disturbed shot we have come to expect from you. Fav
July 31st, 2014
@rocketman1066 That's something I don't hear everyday, but then I usually keep them covered - thanks
@dh Thanks very much :)
August 1st, 2014
So cool such a great set up
August 1st, 2014
@scolgs Thanks very much :)
August 1st, 2014
Love the focus in this, very dark shot!
August 1st, 2014
@sassyinma Thank you very much
August 1st, 2014
Love this! Seductively dangerous! Fav!
August 3rd, 2014
@creativefool Thanks very much - I think it's a fav for me to, best one I've done in a long time!
