@shannejw I love using Affinity Photo - "Liquify" is quite traumatic at times but interesting nonetheless. @annied Well f**k, thanks ;) @bella_ss How diplomatic of you ;)
@annied 'tis the program what I use to edit and process me pickchures. LR died horribly when we were in the UK last year and we're no longer on speaking terms, so I bought Affinity Photo instead which is a one off purchase and now just updates daily...I'm not 100% sure but I think it's Mac only (which is good, because I use Mac...only). It has the same functionality as LR and a few things from PS as well.
Yeah, I was thinking to get this effect in GIMP I'd have to layer it multiple times, use one of the distortion option on a layer with the background, blur that section into the background layer and then on another layer, cut out and put the people back in. And it might take several layers to get that background distortion.
@shannejw It's one tool in Affinity, although there are several different brush options for different "looks" to the liquefaction...easy for a grumpy bugger like me... @annied I do prefer it to LR to be honest...you could always buy a Mac.. ;))
Reminds me of some of my days lately. I think Affinity may be available for Windows now. Originally it was only for MAC. I can’t say how well it works since I have a MAC too.
I love it!

Thanks all - yes I know, another bulk reply. Shame on me. Put me over you knee and plank me...
No please, do...
