the art of living

great street capture - interesting story here - is he bored waiting for his partner inside shopping?

@shannejw I was sitting outside a shop on the other side of the street waiting for my lovely wife. At one point this gentleman and I had a period of maintained eye contact.

I have some shots of very bored kids and fathers outside Oxford Street shops, somewhere

@shannejw I'm very seldom bored. There's always something to be seen or a story to tell yourself.

Oh, yes - I taught myself to pan movement sitting in queues for recordings outside the BBC - have camera can sit for hours teaching myself new tricks.

Very ironic!

Not always an easy art eh?!

A really great shot but when I saw who had taken it I must admit I was a little taken back. Is it really the Art of checking out.

@joansmor Maybe you should pay more attention instead of being taken aback. I fail to see why you insist on thinking that I'm a "one trick pony". This isn't the first time that you've made such an assumption despite there being a variety of shots in my project. It becomes boring and tiresome.
@caterina Not for me anyway...still, practise make perfect.
@fbailey I missed the shot where he looked up and yawned...dammit

If that is the latest fashion then they can keep it as far as I am concerned..........! Excellent shop though :)

Great irony! :)

The caption on the window is priceless...this group of overly skinny and immensely bored looking mannequins represent the "art of living"?
March 12th, 2019
Great candid capture!
March 12th, 2019
Wow! This is perfect

Latest fashion? OK if you've got a figure like a match-stick. I don't!!! So I think I'll pass on this art class if you don't mind and join the bloke sitting outside playing on his phone.
March 13th, 2019
@golftragic I much prefer staying away from the "high street" as well :)
March 13th, 2019
Great capture.

March 13th, 2019

The candid scene conveys a strong sense of story...especially with the living among the mannequins. Makes me think of a Twilight Zone episode.
