the island

It's been a pleasure to be able to get back to the beach - while I'm not a surfer or a swimmer (it would be fair to say that I struggle to stay afloat in the shower) I like to go there to be alone, gather my thoughts, listen to the waves. I've missed it.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is best on black.
Brilliant on black!

I'd go really nuts without space and lots of sky visible. Fab image, of course.

This shot is amazing on black. The light is magnificent! Our beach is opening tomorrow and I’m anxious to get there.

This is spectacular on black -- and spectacular in any way. What a gorgeous view, and your capture of the sun rays, the reflections, the clouds -- all come together to offer us awe in nature. I, too, miss the ocean. I miss sitting there alone when I needed to sort out the world. I especially remember that following the death of my father (I was 16), I sat on the seawall one day, realizing my life as I knew it was over. We left the small island I had grown up on and moved to Tokyo. What memories you've brought about by allowing me to share this view of yours.

Looks like such a glorious spot. I really miss the sea.
Over here, when they mooted making it OK to travel within a 100km radius, people suggested making it 113km so everyone could get to the coast. :)

What a view Graeme, and to be there isolated and socially distanced by choice, to contemplate, think and relax must be very calming and mindful. This rays are just wonderful! Wish I was there (though you probably don't!!)

You are not wrong about the black. Sublime.
