For some of us vinyl never went away but my old turntable was bound to pass away sooner or later...which it finally did. Luckily I had foreseen it's demise and a new one arrive yesterday, a Pro-Ject Elemental.
For those of your wondering what's playing, 'tis this:
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
oh nice! I've got a nice tidy turntable and LOVE vinyl, of course it never went away, and it never will as you can't fit music into 0 and 1
I've got an RP3 (Rega)
Really cool. Sadly during a house move many years ago my collection of vinyls never arrived at our destination. The removal company denied any knowledge or responsibility.
A great image, I've got several turntables. I seen to inherit them and the vinyls as I am the only one that still plays them in the greater family. Some are quite interesting and I suspect valuable.
@jyokota Thank you so much :) @jgpittenger Thank you very much :) @kwind That's a shame ;) @kaylynn2150 I'd never give mine to my brother....the man has no taste ;) @joysabin Thank you very much :) @markp I know I have a few valuable ones in the collection but no one ever has the decency to give me any :( @haskar It does seem to add to the experience :) @jackies365 I think that's part of the fun ;) @northy Here in sleepy old NZ vinyl outsold digital downloads in 2018....there second hand ones (or course) but also re-releases and most bands are back to releasing on vinyl again as well. @salza I bet someone in the removal company is very happy with their days work... @koalagardens I completely agree...my dead one was an Akai and it had served me well...the Rega's are a nice unit :) @moonbi Phew....proving that I'm still relevant ;) @kjarn Thanks very much :) @julzmaioro Thank you very much :) @jamibann Thank you kindly :)
Just gave all my vinyl to my oldest Granddaughter, I stored them in the loft over 50years ago, I told her she could sell them if she wanted, I got lots of them when in the Merchant Navy. I started to price some of them up and was amazed on what you could get for them...
@tonygig Some of them are worth a tidy sum - I've just finished cataloguing mine on the Discogs App which also gives an average value...I was quite surprised at some of them
Had never thought of it before, but is this where the term "groovy" comes from? Anyway, I really like the details here, right down to the reflection of the needle-holder thingy. :)
@juliedduncan Every day is a school day - I'm happy if I can learn one new thing a day so I guess now I can home...oh wait... @pdulis Thanks very much - The Cure next just to bring me down again ;) @koalagardens@markp You do realise that I'll have to take an "introduction fee" on any transactions? ;)

@jerome It does make music a better experience - in my humble opinion anyway
@blueberry1222 I just need a beard and a cardigan...
@annied Thank you very much :)
