Fruits of Their Labor

Out shopping today I came across this apple core that was being devoured by ants. I am sure whoever saw me photographing an apple core in the gutter thought for sure Ii was crazy!
It's making me itchy just looking at this... Nice shot!

Ewe, makes me have the creepy crawlies. Nice capture, Katy and I am sure that others thought you were crazy but who cares, you got a great photo.

The browning apple creates such a great textured field!

Wonderful texture and details... :) The browning apple core kind of looks like toast.

Deb
Amazing detail! I like this a lot, but think you should have had you hand the the picture :)

Nevermind what others think:-) I like the shiny ants- cool!
June 8th, 2012
Haha,yes we 365s often seem to behave crazy for others)))))

@smithak Thanks , Smitha! What disturbs you about it?
June 8th, 2012
@marilyn I actually thought more like meringue.
June 8th, 2012
@deburahiru Thanks a bunch, Deb! I wish I had thought of that!
June 8th, 2012
@jennwearing So you are OK with THESE bugs?! Thanks, Jennifer!
June 8th, 2012
@nyusha I think we have to lose our self consciousness to stay on this site!

Weren't you wearing a "365 badge?!!" I feel like I need to explain myself too sometimes when I'm laying flat out on the ground in a public park ... but, oh well. LOVE your capture here, Katy! Once again, you have such beautiful clarity and a great pov. There's nothing that you can't do with a camera!

@karenann Thanks so very much, my dear but oh yes there is! I can't capture two woodpeckers in a perfect pose with a beautiful background! I can't find a bridge with a perfect reflection in the water or a beautiful path in a park that looks like a walk in Japan . There is LOTS I can't do with a camera! I am glad you think otherwise ! ;~}

I have been around a few parts of Alabama, Katy ... and your state is awesome. You have it all there ... too bad I didn't retire there. We'd explore it all together and then everyone would wonder about those two "crazies!" :)
June 8th, 2012
@karenann How I would LOVE that! ;~}
June 8th, 2012
@jennwearing Yes I'm all good with those bugs but big, hairy, ugly and spikey- yuk:-)
June 8th, 2012
@jennwearing I get it!
June 8th, 2012
@grammyn Oh, yeah... I can def see that! :)

A true 365er at work!!!!! If you had not said apple I would still be umming and aaahing......Absolutely fabulous capture of those industrious little ants!!!! Love what @karenann had to say and I mightily agree with here.....I am currently unable to find Manhattan style bridges a la Michael Elliot nor sweeping seascapes and bridges a la Brian Baptie......but as they don't exist in Lebanon I take heart that it's not my fault!!!!!! :) :)

this reminds me of the story 'Gulliver's Travels'.....and we're all a little crazy in our search for 'that' picture.
June 9th, 2012
@ruthmouch LOL! My little corner of the world has nothing as exciting to capture as you find either. I guess home seems so commonplace to us but is interesting to others who have different surroundings than we do! Thanks you so much for your continued support, Ruth!
