Watch Bird

We have a pontoon boat moored at a marina near us and this bird was standing watch one day. I think it is a Grebe but I am wrong ! My friend,Vee, the bird expert says it is an American Coot.

that's the BIGGEST COOT i ever saw.... the coots are at the park lake right now but they are the size of a normal duck.
