Not really my personal footprint, although I did dip my bare feet in the Mediterranean Sea at Byblos. These are some sea smoothed rocks I picked up from the beach there and arranged on a doorstop I bought for myself as a souvenir.
@ruthmouch I wish I could claim this but I saw the idea somewhere else! I DID pick up the stones for this purpose though and it was great to use my doorstop for the base! It has much more meaning for me because of where the stones came from.
I would love to find this type of smooth rocks... I would do so many things with them... Unfortunately they are heavy to bring in the suitcase. I always bring a little bag of sand for my collection,,, but rocks is a different story.
Smashing idea. What a cool thing to bring home with you.
I have been finding the smooth ones scattered at the cemetery where I go to shoot and they have been written on with indelible marker - "Jesus Loves You" I carry one in my wallet. I figure they left it for me.
@anazad511 I seldom see them either and there was really no sand on this beach it was all tiny little smooth rocks. I suposse it will be sand someday! ;~}
Very creative, Katy and wonderful souvenirs from your trip. I have one rock from the beach that is not smooth and not plain in color and keep it near my chair and sit and hold it and remember that trip. It is nice to have things like this to remember and enjoy.
@sunshinephoto5 It was fabulous! I went to Italy several years ago with my oldest daughter and regretted not being able to do it then so I am very happy to have been able to do it this time!
@megmills Thanks so much Meg for the comment and the follow! The beach was covered with this type of rock! I picked up a dozen or so that i thought might work and just picked the best of them for the shot!
