Lightening is on my bucket list but usually there is rain associated with our lightening around here and I don't want to stand in it with my camera. . I keep trying alternative ways to catch it. Tonight all I caught was this approaching cold front.
Oh my, I was thinking the same thing today; I have lightening on my bucket list, and I was driving in the middle of a torrential rain and lightening, wishing I could use the camera, but it was either drive or shoot...
@digitalrn I know and i have to confess that is a bit limiting to my adventure. I need a storm a long way off with an unobstructed view and I don't foresee that happening around here.
Well done on the perseverance though, I can actually see that cold front, well caught. Yes; lightening and bucket lists, a must. However here in England it could be where I actually get to kick the bucket. To capture lightening in the Midlands (aka Middle Earth) I need a vast flat field with a lonely tree, my luck though it will hit me and not the lonely tree. Sigh...again :P
We have the same issue here - usually associated with torrential rain!
