While not readily apparent here in the south, the autumnal equinox arrived last night at 9:29 PM I, for one, am looking forward to cooler drier weather!
no! nooooooooooooooo! but on the upside, we're having indian summer until the weekend. yay! love the bent stem of that leaf. sadly, it is fall! well, i love fall, too, but it means winter is coming and i don't like winter anymore. wonderful shot, my good friend!
@summerfield LOL! for me it is th opposite! But then we don't get the horrid cold and snow in winter that you do either. I totally copied your beautiful shot but as you can see our leaves aren't nearly as pretty as yours. Maybe a little later in the season they might be. Thanks you dear girl for your kind comments!
This is a wonderful shot, Katy. Love the details you captured in this leaf. The leaves here are curling up and falling off the trees, most this color. I am looking forward to cooler weather, rain, rain and more rain. FAV
Well, we do not have many of these leaves, but it was 58 this morning! We went out for bus evacuation practice at 10:20 adn the kids said it was "Freezing." haha So funny. I hope you had a great day. My conferences start tomorrow....hours of paperwork to get ready for them and tomorrow I start at 7:20 am with one and end at 7 Pm. Yikes.
@kwiksilver Thanks Gillian. It means we have summer humidity in the 50% to80% range with even more if it does rain. I don't have to iron clothes. I just let them hang outside for a while and that humidity works like steam in the clothes.
