My birdseed brings all the birds to the yard! (apologies to Kelis)
Fabulous shot! Details are amazing... what kind of bird is this?

This one has got such a short beak - almost like a budgie but doesn't have the same shape! I would think you would have a bird book? I have but not of other countries!

Such a colourful chappie

nice shot...with the amount of seed the birds are eating this year it's getting expensive to keep them in the style they're accustomed to

Tee hee, well what kind of birdseed do you have?

Beautiful colors in his feathers!

wonderful capture. i love the details in its plumes and the colour is beautiful. i get no birds in my garden, the friggin' squirrel would steal all before the bird gets in there. and if any birds arrive it would be the friggin' pigeons. now you don't want pigeons to hang around your house.

@darsphotos @lesip @deb60 @homeschoolmom @olivetreeann @anazad511 @leananiemand @claireuk @gratefulness @summerfield @barbtatum @eudora @eudora @kwiksilver Thanks for taking the time to comment! Thanks especially for the FAV diane! He is a house finch that is a bit puffed up to stay warm as this was one of our recent cold days. Not hard to catch when they are at the feeder usually! Last year after my accident I couldn't do much but watch the birds so I have really come to enjoy seeing them and the different kinds that arrive. I buy the fruit and nut seed which is why I get the squirrels after it too.

@summerfield Thanks bunches girlfriend. So far the squirrels haven't scared off the birds and I try to keep them out of the bird food as much as pssible We get mourning doves which might be like pigeons but they generally eat the corn that the squitrrels drop so they aren't a problem.
