Three hours in a car, one and a half of them over a rutted road that jostled my body more than a deep tissue massage, two cups of chai tea, in the home of a Masai teacher, another short ride over an equally rutted road, and we arrived at a Masai boma ( group of huts belonging to an extended family) of one of the babies from the orphanage. We brought her to visit and to bring food and necessities to help a different family.
This family also offered us chai tea which we drank in a mud hut. After the formalities they gladly posed for pictures if we would show them the image. There was much laughing as they viewed themselves. We could tell It was a novelty for them to see seven white people in their boma by the way they studied us
This is a wonderful shot, Katy. She is beautiful. What a trip you are on. Would not want to be on a bumpy ride for hours. Glad you are ok. Stay safe. FAV
