My New Toy by grammyn

My New Toy

Since i will be taking a math class this semester (and the last time I took math was 52 years ago literally) my husband gave me this for Christmas. It will do everything but write the answer down for me I think. Of course I will need to learn how to use it BEFORE l can use it to learn the math!
Math - aaaaahhhhhhh! Scary!!!! I just don't think I'm up for it anymore . Looks like a cool assistance, though!

Math... the "logical" part of the universe! My brain hurts on your behalf... but I loved math because it makes sense! Unlike so much of life!

math is easy enough, now that you have the wisdom and patience to understand it. trust me. :-) but the calculator looks daunting with all its complicated buttons. i'll just use paper and pencil (i am still an old dog after all). aces on the set up, girlfriend. aces!

Enjoy playing.

I have always said that I want nothing to do with a device that has a bigger manual than said device! I like math... I do not like complicated math tools! 😊

@linnypinny i’m right there with you sister! Terrified to death. I’ll keep you posted.
@wyomingsis Somehow it seems wrong to have letters with math! Where is the logic in that?! letters is English numbers is math.
@luvmynynix glad you like the composition and equally glad to know that you were intimidated by this device as much as I am!
@madamelucy thanks Terri. I think I am as ready as I will ever be.
@Dawn LOL! Thanks for all that support , Dawn!!
@ludwigsdiana absolutely! It’s going to be a terrific crutch for me @louannwarren that is definitely true! He has been nothing but supportive ever since I started!

@gijsje so do I, bep. I am relying on it heavily!
@summerfield thanks for that encouraging support! Like you I may fall back on the old-school way myself but it’s nice to know I have new school if I need it!
@sdutoit I hope I can get to where it feels like playing Sylvia! Thanks
@marilyn Right there with you Sissy! That’s one of the reasons why he got me that cheat sheet that is underneath it. Hopefully it will simplify things. Thanks for your continuous support ❤️
@lesip One day at a time is a good way for me to look at it because math was not my favorite subject

How exciting that you are studying again? Where are you studying and what will you do when you complete your course?

@nicolecampbell I knew you had asked me a question about my school but forgot where it was and have been so busy l hadn't had a chance to find it Nicole. Sorry to take such a long time to answer you. I am only taking core classes right now. Two years under my belt in 1966 and 1967. Never finished. MY grandmother, mother, daughters and soon granddaughters will be college graduates. I am the only one that never finished so I am going back so my granddaughters can say great great, great, grand, mother and me ALL graduated from college. Whatever is quickest and easiest is my goal!!!
