someone who follows me asked what an acorn squash was. I just happened to have one that I hadn't cooked up yet so decided to feature it . I guess it gets the name because it looks a little llike an acorn without the cap

The squash was about 15"/38cm. which is just large enough to feed the two of us Diana and Ruth. I just cooked it and sprinkled it with salt and pepper Leslie. Mandy,It is yellow on the inside and has a mild squash taste, and I recommend it. Some people cook it with brown sugar and butter which is also good
