This little sunflower appeared in the pot my calla lilies grow in. I almost pulled it out when I discovered it because I thought it was a weed but realized a bird or squirrel deposited it there for safe keepins so I decied to let it stay thinkng it might make a nice photo and I was right.
I like sunflowers. This is a lovely photo of the leaves and the petals and the center. I like the gradient effect of the very center of the center and the pattern of it too. I've some some huge volunteers growing in my garden. The stalks are taller than me by half again on one or two and the leaves are huge, big as my two hands together with the fingers spread. I've already lost one during a strong wind. It broke right at the soil level, so I pulled (easier said that done) it out of the garden.

Thanks Taffy @darylo thanks Daryl I am so glad you like it! @swguevin2 Thank Sheila I appreciate it! @thedarkroom it is and I like the photo op! @ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana.
