This little sunflower appeared in the pot my calla lilies grow in. I almost pulled it out when I discovered it because I thought it was a weed but realized a bird or squirrel deposited it there for safe keepins so I decied to let it stay thinkng it might make a nice photo and I was right.
Aw, what a sweetie to pup up among the lilies!

I like sunflowers. This is a lovely photo of the leaves and the petals and the center. I like the gradient effect of the very center of the center and the pattern of it too. I've some some huge volunteers growing in my garden. The stalks are taller than me by half again on one or two and the leaves are huge, big as my two hands together with the fingers spread. I've already lost one during a strong wind. It broke right at the soil level, so I pulled (easier said that done) it out of the garden.

@sdutoit Thank you so much!
@randystreat I like them too and always get at least one or two from the winter birdseed under the feeder and they get as big as yours usually. This pot was nowhere near the feeder so a bit of a mystery how the seed got there. Sorry you lost one
@gijsje Ithank you bep
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I'm glad you like it Jackie! Thanks @tunia It is much smaller than the ones that grow in the ground under the bird feeder but you can't really tell it form this shot.
