I collect nativities and my daughter gives me one every year and makes many of them. I look forward to seeing her creativity from year to year. These were made from some wood blocks she took out or our woodpile last year. She had intended to use them for another project but felt they were the perfect size and shape for my gift this year. I love the rustic effect and the fact that they might have gone up in smoke last year if not for her!
How very wonderful! As @louannwarren pointed out, your daughter undoubtedly inherited that artistic talent from you. Probably both nature and nurture. My mom collected nativity sets also. She had ones from various cultures around the world. My sister has started collecting them now.
@randystreat I thought so too Kathy. It always means more when it comes from her heart than the store @mcsiegle thank you Mary. I wish I could claim some credit for her talent but I think she gets it all on her own.
