I spent most of the day sewing today and decided to work on some burp clothes I started a couple of months ago. As you can see I got about halfway done and hit a snag, literally and figuratively. The thread is not catching properly, so, after changing the needle and trying again a couple of times still with no success, I decided to walk away and give it a rest.
That is about when I get the hammer out! Only 3 tools anyone needs... Duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer! 🔨
If it moves, and it shouldn't, use duct tape. If it doesn't move, and it should, use WD-40. If neither of those work, use the hammer!!🔨
You are so talented in so many ways!
I use to sew many years ago and I remember the greatest frustration was when the sewing machine wasn't acting correctly or cutting out the patterns -
Oh dear I hope you were able to resolve the problem. @wyomingsis This approach made me laugh but not sure that it could be used to fix this problem without causing damage beyond repair.
I've had the same thing happen numerous times on my embroidery machine. Some end up ok and some end up tossed. Yours looks good. I'm sure you will end up with a great finished product!
@corinnec Thank you Corinne So do I @olivetreeann I hope to figure it out but I am not sure when it will be. Thanks Ann @lesip this one is fairly old and not used much anymore so I should have expected some kinks. Thank you Leslie @wyomingsis I am not sure where skipped stitches would fit into that solution @joemuli thanks bunches Joe @shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie I will need it I think @dutchothotmailcom I appreciate the empathy and the comment Esther thanks @myhrhelper How nice of you to say Kathy. It can be maddening when trying to finish a project and have to stop and troubleshoot @ludwigsdiana I certainly do. I find I don't have the patience with it that I used to @30pics4jackiesdiamond Wouldn't that be nice? Unfortunately it didn't happen and he really does not . Buying a new one is an option but an pricey one @kjarn Not yet Kathy but not giving up either @wakelys Still trying to sort it @joansmor So very nice of you Joan. I do to @sangwann I was happy with it until it wasn't working properly thank you Dione @madamelucy It can be so frustrating, can't it? Thank you Terri and I hope so
@randystreat so far that doesn’t appear to be the case, although I will keep working on it. There’s a good chance it is a PEBMAC error. Problem exists between machine and chair!
