l finished this outfit today. I bought the shirt and pants but embroidered the turkey using some thread for the head and body and the wattle from my mother's sewing supplies. The lace is from HER mother's sewing supplies making this a gift from a great great great grandmother, a great great grandmother, and a great grandmother. They would have loved her so!
I loved this outfit before I read the story. After reading, I’m not only incredibly impressed, but totally in love with it! I think her mama and grandma will cry when you share it… of course I only have a bit of eye leakage which I’m sure is just related to my tired eyes. 💞
That is absolutely adorable- and this is also the reason why I'm thankful the Good Lord gave me boys- our home would have been overrun with outfits like this! And the generational connection is awesome!
What a wonderful story. You are so talented to be able to do this. It is indeed a treasure. I have my grandmother's sewing box - it's huge. I have used some for embroidery but I don't really sew. Had to watch a youtube video so that I could thread the machine the last time I used it..
