Fancy Feasting

Little Yellow or Little Sulphur is the name of this butterfly and it is feasting on the nectar of the Hot Lips Salvia in my yard. There were probably a couple of dozen of them flitting around this morning but they don't sit still very long

Edit: I sent my photo to the Alabama Butterfly Atlas and they sent me a reply telling me it is a Cloudless Sulphur

Very pretty- no more butterflies here- but we do have a couple bees still hanging around. Once the temps go back down this week, they'll all be heading into hybernation of sorts. Good shot!

Merci beaucoup à tous. Je suis d'accord, ça ressemble un peu à une feuille. Ils sont trop rapides pour que je puisse les capturer avec les ailes ouvertes. Je viens de chercher sur Google les papillons jaunes de l'Alabama et c'est ce qui est apparu en premier avec un lien vers l'organisation que j'ai mentionnée dans la modification ci-dessus.
