Taken from the TV this morning. The architect of the 9-11 memorial contacted the family members of the almost 3,000 people who perished and asked if there were any names they would like next to their loved ones names and tried to put them together and still keep each name "an island unto itself" He strove to give each name individual importance and prevent the memorial from being just a list of names. It looks to me as if he succeeded in that goal
