I got some cool filters from my husband for my birthday seen here http://365project.org/grammyn/everything-else/2013-02-11 and finally got around to using one of them today. The fluorescent filter is designed to use under fluorescent light to give natural light colors according to the box it came in. It does some amazing things to natural light too. This is sooc except for the filter. I did no processing on it!
That is incredibly beautiful... not just the colors, but the way the clouds seem to be radiating out from the sun...and of course the amazing silhouettes and the composition! :)
@maggotx Thanks for catching that Mag.I usually double check but didn't tonight! My birthday was a couple of months ago so thanks! I am glad you like the shot!
Yep. I debate, frequently, the merits of going to a dslr but the truth is I hate carrying stuff and the camera I have now isn't real small but I can put it in my purse if I need to. One camera, small enough I can handle it with one hand as I often am doing these days. I haven't found a dslr yet that I can justify purchasing. I know I can get better moon shots but I am getting pretty darn good shots now but there are definite limits as to what I can do. So, I'm torn. UGH!
@dmortega I totally understand the desire to travel light! I feel as though you echo most of my sentiments for keeping the camera I have! I sometimes feel a better camera might give me some better shots too but am basically happy with what I use now. I say stick with what you know! Today you can create almost any effect with processing anyway!
