Rapunzel on the North Santiam

I don't know what this is, some type of moss in the family of Spanish moss would be my best guess...but this is Oregon and not the southern United States which is the only place I've seen Spanish moss. This was taken on a trail along the North Santiam River in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
I don't know what it is but it looks splendid. Hurrah for half and half photos beyond May.
