Salem, OR is built along the Willamette River and has a wonderful network of interlinking parks. One of those is Minto-Brown Island Park, 1200 acres of open and wooded areas along the river. This shot was taken there on a (not so very) early morning walk.
your description makes this area a marvelous place to roam around.. loving the warm light and the PoV.. great shadow too.. from the leaves it would seem Autumn is well under way..
