Bats in the African Tulip Tree ~

The bats are back & I have never seen them roost in this huge African Tulip Tree before.
There are 1000's of gum trees around this tree & they are full of bats.
Gosh how big are they???

I had no idea some of them roost in trees like this! Most of ours stick to caves and buildings.

Your bats are so large. Ours look like flying mice unless they want to sleep, then they tuck up and you would mistake them for a moth.

@shutterbug49 @koalagardens @vesna0210 @shepherdmanswife @kjarn @leggzy @sangwann @onewing @ludwigsdiana @ljmanning @carole_sandford @beryl @30pics4jackiesdiamond > Four species of flying fox are native to mainland Australia. They are found mostly in northern and eastern temperate and subtropical coastal areas. Three of these - the little red flying fox, the black flying fox and the grey-headed flying fox - are found on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Some can reach a wingspan of 1.5 meters. (This is where I live)
The Grey-headed flying fox is currently listed federally as vulnerable to extinction. All bats in Australia are native species – none of them are introduced. Thank you each one for your great comments, Interest & Favs... Hope you find this info. helpful. 🦇🦇😊
