After struggling all last year to keep the lawn mower running it finally gave up when I tried to start it at the weekend. After trying in vain to get even a little charge to stay in the battery for more than a few minutes, I bit the bullet and yesterday went out and bought it a new battery.

A 12 volt battery!
That's £6.25 per volt!
They saw me coming from a long way off.
Anyway, I charged it up last night and fitted it this evening and it started up first time. We then had half an hour of great fun riding around on it, giving Ben and Sam rides up and down the garden. Maybe at the weekend I will even cut some grass with it.
