Storm Clouds Over Rapeseed by harveyzone

Storm Clouds Over Rapeseed

What weather we have had today! Bright sunshine, wind, stair-rod rain, hail. Driving home from Kidderminster this evening after a bizarre day in which I had wasted a lot of time, but also managed to get a lot done that I had not anticipated, when the sun came out following a hail shower and lit up the field of rape.

I picked this one as it is an unusual view, rather than the large blocks of yellow field that spectacularly vanish to the horizon. I rather liked the three bands of colour instead.
some how those storm clouds don't look so depressing with the bright yellow

The storm clouds make the yellow really zingy. Great colours and composition. Whatever happened to fields of linseed with their intense blue, do you ever see any near you?

@mariadarby @harveywilcox I do love seeing slate grey skies with sunshine. These weren't quite slate grey - I couldn't drive fast enough to catch them (!) but they were quite dark.
I can't recall ever seeing linseed fields round here.
