I fully intended to do something about England's opening game in the Euros today, especially as we managed to put in a surprisingly good performance, but when sitting watching the TV and playing with a couple of old lenses our cat sat outside the window and looked up at the birdbath. It would have been rude not to have taken a photo of it.
Technically the photo is not great. I am not sure where the square pattern on the background has come from - I think it may be because it was through three layers of glass (which has also been detrimental to the sharpness). I guess you can't have everything.
The lens, incidentally, is a first generation Minolta 135mm f/2.8, affectionately known as the 'pocket rocket' as it is small and has great colours. I am pleased to report that it works well on the a77.
