Day 44 by harveyzone

Day 44

The Olympic torch again passed through Worcestershire today and we took a detour to Alcester to see it. We figured that we will never do so again in our lifetimes. There was a carnival atmosphere with Morris dancers, Roman soldiers, and people having barbecues on their front lawns but then the torch came and went in no time at all, and the crowds dispersed. I am glad we went, but it all felt like a bit of an anticlimax.

So here, as we mark the 50% stage of 2012 (and 365 Project), is a fleeting glimpse of the torch carried by torch bearer 44/070, Sophie Witherford, as she jogged past our spot outside Alcester Grammar School.
Great shot Tom!
