Elusive Falcon

I was down at the end of the garden this afternoon when a small group of fairly large birds started making a lot of noise. I didn't recognise what they were, and they moved around the trees far too fast to get a decent shot. One settled on a branch and I fired off a couple of frames, then tried in vain to switch to a more suitable lens, but, too late, they were off as quickly a they had arrived.

A closer look suggest that they may have been Peregrine Falcons, presumable a young family, as there were 4 or 5 of them. They have recently been spotted on the Lickey's so it is possible, but the photos aren' good enough for someone like me to identify them properly. This was one of only two shots that I managed to get.

@harveywilcox Could be. The sound clip on the website sounds like them. they seem to be around a lot. You can hear them, but they fly too fast (and silently) to catch on film.
