Today has been sunny and relatively warm and the bees have been very active, bringing in ivy and himalayan balsam for winter stores. When I walked up the garden this evening they were still active despite it being cooler, but I was more intrigued by the grass in front of the hives which was covered in bees collecting water from the evening dew, possibly to feed to larvae.
