Sam was sick last night and did not go to school today, so Jan stayed at home with him and I dropped Ben off at school. I was already late, and the fog was thick so I took a small divert up to the woods to see if I could grab a few interesting shots on my way in.
When I got to the top of the hill It was disappointingly clear, but heading over towards the castle I was clearly the edge of the fog below and the clear blue skies above, but it drifted across and gave some interesting effects.
I was late and the fog was swiftly clearing so I took a few shots and headed off to work.

Wow, thanks everyone. I am not sure if it is one tree or two. I will have to go back and have a closer look! I love the idea of the sun splitting the tree. I hadn't really thought about that - I just liked the way it cast the shadows. It is a shame I hadn't been there half an hour or so earlier to catch the sun coming over the tree line - it could have been interesting.
