At last, Ben's long awaited birthday is here, and a busy day all round. Nine today.
It started with Ben's breakfast choice, cheese and ham croissants, pancakes with Ice cream and maple syrup. A couple of birthday presents and then Ben and I rushed out to see the Hobbit in 3D.
Three hours later we returned and a visit from Uncle Simon, and opening of a load more presents.
We skipped lunch as we were still overloaded from Breakfast, then we whisked round to Granny's and two more presents including his big one - a drum kit (what were we thinking), and then over to Jo and Rob's for birthday tea.
Here are Jo, Mollie, Granny, Sam, Ben and Jacob playing a long game of Uno during which Mollie managed to collect most of the pack before Jo eventually won.
Ben insisted upon staying up until 11:30 tonight as that is when he actually enters his tenth year.
Only 10 more days/photos to go. The countdown begins!
@ruthhowell Ben had a great day, and loved the Hobbit. I thought it was a bit longer than it needed to be, and the first half could have moved along a bit quicker, but it was the usual spectacular movie that you would expect.
@frankhymus Yep - Ben was keping everyone in check! I'm not planning on leaving after the year asI have really enjoyed doing it, but will probably be a bit more relaxed about a new photo every day. I will see how it goes.
