Doodle a day #137: An interesting morning at work today. Sat at my desk thinking that I could smell gas, and asking if anyone else could too. Yep - they could so we evacuated the building and called the fire brigade.
We, and three other companies, were locked out of the building for over 90 minutes whilst the fire service identified a gas leak, cut off the gas supply, and checked that the building was safe to re-enter.
Some of us went to the Costa down the road to warm up and pass the time, but with bags and wallets left inside I had to scrape together some parking change from the car to get something.
Of course, with no gas supply we had no heating all day so it was not very warm at work. Hopefully it will be fixed over the weekend. Good job it was spring and not mid winter!
