The way to heat

34C and drought. Rawka River - Natura 2000 area. Winding, wild and full of surprises. During the First World War, the most important eastern front between Germany and Russia.
Looks like lots of shade here to be able to cool off in the heat

Oh to think of war in such a beautiful place. Glad that's in the way past.

@peadar Oh yes! There are only a few war cemeteries. The area is wet and all traces have blurred time. There were some traces of the trenches in the woods. Out of curiosities, it was here that the Germans used chlorine for the first time as a gas weapon. The first attack did not work because they did it in January and the frost saved the Russians.
I am sending you a link. Little information here but there is a map. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bolimów
