Demonstration against the independence of the courts. Our democratically elected government is destroying democracies. We take small steps to a strange land from which we managed to break free 30 years ago!
I couldn't decide which photo to send. I wanted to get great dynamics and a vibration that illustrates the mood of the moment. That's why I sent two shots for evaluation.
I have been interested in photography all my life and remember quite well developing my first black and white films myself... My favorite subjects are...
I much prefer this one. It still has movement, but some details are clearer so that you get a sense of the moment. Troubling times indeed, I have been following story off and on, I believe it may lead to you leaving the EU?
@peadar Thank you, Peter. Time is hard all over the world. Democracy ate itself. We choose the wrong way. Populists are doing well. Nevertheless, I hope that we will not leave the EU.
I will comment on both here- the first is a little too blurry for me but I get the mood and energy of the demonstration quite clearly. I like that there is some detail on this one but that movement is still visible with the blur. I think the flags stand out better in this one too.
In terms of photos, I think I like this one a bit better. I can see expressions (sad and serious) on the faces of the demonstrators. There is movement without too much blur. Sorry for the upheavals. I believe we are all feeling it. Makes me wonder if history is inclined to repeat itself.
The other one seems more of an abstract to convey the mood. In the end, I prefer this one which doesn't quite 'move' as much but simply enough to make your point.
