V is for...Vane

Not the "mirror mirror on the wall" type, the weather type! I've been taking pictures of weather vanes for weeks. I don't know why I love them ; there's something so fanciful about them but it seems people hardly even notice they're there; after all, who really needs to check the wind direction these days unless they're on a sailing yacht? These are some of my favourites. The dragon keeps an eye on a pub called The Cow in central Cambridge, the rowing eight is on Fen Ditton church - close to centre of rowing activity on the river just outside Cambridge, and the wild boar graces the small sports pavillion on the recreation ground in a village called Eversden. The boar is their village symbol. I think he's my favourite!
These are pretty cool. Haven't seen many that are more interesting that cockrels before. Think the dragon's my favourite though.

thank you so much for caring Helen! I couldn't wait any longer so I created a new account, it still allow me to use the same display name, so I used chimom again but i don't know how to "invite" all my follwers, and i was still hoping that my original account works, so I posted some photos which would be my 2nd choices ( i took a few photos everyday:), I'm still saving the 1st choice for my main account, isn't that weird? what if it never work again :))
