Barn Door Cambridge Style

This was the picture I was going to post yesterday before I opted for the purple theme! I know it's cheating but I decided to use it today instead. I took the dogs for a walk near Madingley, en route to Tesco, and noticed a derelict barn. I decided to try some Barn Lady shots, a la Frances, but they didn't come out so well - partly because it was not a very scenic American-style barn, but rather a shabby corrugated iron and concrete affair - but also because I'm not up to those great shots and editing. So, here, instead, a detail of hinge, wire, rust and lichen! I wasn't sure whether to crop off those tree branches at the top?
i love mossy, rusty doors! excellent shot! i love your purple theme from yesterday too, good choice!

I think rust and moss are nature's paint!
Almost no editing ( save for cropping perhaps ) are needed really, when both are involved!
Love this!

Oh, I think the trees at the top give the gate a "sense of place"...just the right amount, in my humble opinion! I LOVE the patina that comes after weather and time have taken their toll...nothing from the paint store could improve on this!!!

Great shot, personally I'd have cropped just to accentuate the detail in the moss and rust. But that's just me
