British Summer Time started today which means that soon boys must shed their winter plumage of jeans and hoodies for their summer garb of shorts and t-shirts. So we cycled into town, where I forked over my life savings in SuperDry and Quicksilver. Then we had a very nice lunch at Gourmet Burger Kitchen and cycled home for a lovely bonfire to celebrate the light evening. Here are the guys pedalling up the small but steep humpback bridge over the river on the way in. It's a bit out of focus, as I was taking the picture while cycling along one-handed behind them (and yes, I did almost fall off my bike!) Note how the pedestrians are standing well clear of the oncoming youths and mad woman waving a camera!
I really love the perspective you have achieved. And I can just see you coming along in back of this pair, waving your camera as you try to capture the moment. Glad you didn't take a tumble. Love the way the pedestrians are looking at the guys on the bikes.
Helen, I finally took time this evening to read about the black squirrels; aren't they beautiful! Pretty as they are, though, they're a lot harder to photograph (speaking as the owner of a black cat!). I've seen some in Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC. (Somewhere, surely, I have the photos!) You were so thoughtful to send me the link, and maybe others checked it out, too. (I ended up with A LOT of links throughout the comments today...so many like-minded people!)
Now if I had a place nearby this wonderful, it might make me get my bike out, too...says the woman whose bicycle tires are probably dry-rotted by now! Love the angle on this....and thanks for the "follow." I am enjoying your photos!
Is this Cambridge? It's beautiful. We've got two of those humpback bridges in the village too.
