What's In A Handbag (Probably Best Not to Know)

I didn't have a photo today as I've been at my computer and then I saw Elizabeth's fun shot and I thought what a great idea and emptied my bag out on the kitchen table. It's probably hard to believe but this is not even the full gory truth: I am sparing you the receipts, tissues and loose change that lurk within its very depths, and there would also normally be a laptop, laptop power supply and a camera, of course, in there too. But here goes:
sunglasses
contact lenses (3 - why?)
ear plugs (no idea)
gift pack of tea from a wedding in 2009
tic tacs
lipstick stamper pen (no idea, could come in handy though)
playmobile knight (you mean you don't have one in your bag?)
face powder
hairspray
lipstick
back-up lipstick
eye pencil
car keys with TESCO card
Eiffel tower earrings (back-up earrings for 80s night last month)
hairband
green plastic whistle (v. useful)
mini tape measure key ring (from cracker: also v useful)
Park and Ride ticket (used and therefore useless)
boiled sweets (2 - one is peruvian purple corn flavour)
antiseptic sweet for mouth ulcers (a bit furry: the sweet that is, not my mouth)
hayfever tablets (I don't have hayfever)
pen
back-up pen
emergency back-up pen
spare glasses
go-go-crazy-bones character (for leaving in geocache box)
ear plugs (really no idea why)

plastic carrier bag (for emergency dog poo clearance)

brown felt change purse with green bobbles (great present from Jane - my fave ever purse!)
cheque book
the cheque book I thought I'd lost, but was at the bottom of my bag all the time.

Have I missed anything? Just be thankful I didn't use my other (back-up) handbag. That has a three month old dessicated chocolate brownie in the bottom!
And I don't know what's happened to my miniature tool kit either. That must be in my other back-up handbag.


As you can probably guess, I was in the Brownies. I am prepared. Very prepared!

And after all that, I forgot to included the bag in the picture. Here it is, just in case you want to know what miraculous vessel contains such riches.

I am so glad you have got you play mobile Knight in you hand bag Helen ,you never know when you might need one lol, I am surprised that is all you have in your handbag after feeling the weight of it, were is the kitchen sink ???

Awesome! I try to never carry a bag, but this time of year is so tricky and I have to keep moving stuff from coat pocket to coat pocket as we move from cold to warm to rain to cold again.

Wonderful idea - I should try one as well - maybe as part of my selfie challenge ;). But I'd have to get really high up in order to fit everything from my bag into the picture ;)!
